Indian Trade Musket A model faithfully reflecting the type of
rifles that since the late 1700s were used by the most well known trading
companies (Northwest Co., Hudson's Bay Co., American Fur Co.) for the
trades with the American Indians and the white hunters. The finish and fit
was not carefully done in consideration of the rough use these guns would
receive in the hands of the Indians and early white fur hunters, however
showing the classical lines of the old European muskets produced both by
European manufacturers and by the most well known American manufacturers,
such as Leman, Henry, Tryon and Deringer. The snake shape decoration is
enriched by engravings. The wood ramrod and the large trigger guard were
typical features of these guns. Smooth bore rust brown color barrel,
walnut stock. Barrel length 36". Weight 7.28 lbs. |

chromed inside, slightly choked. The trigger guard with its curl
emphasizes the walnut stock line, enriched by an unusual and elaborate
checkering. The barrels are brown color, the side plates, hammers, tang
and trigger guard feature floral engraving. Barrel length 27 9/16".

Coach Gun During the Civil War the Confederate
troops in addition to the standardized ordnance guns also used all kinds
of guns, including many sourced from European countries. Among the guns
used to equip the Cavalry there were also the traditional hunting side by
side shotguns with shortened barrels to be handier while riding a horse.
Many such guns with shortened barrels featured both main spring locks and
the back action locks. The barrels were not always shortened. Their
popularity in fact, induced many gunsmiths to produce guns with short
barrels and a single trigger mechanism. This shotgun features a nice brown
color for the barrel. The locks are case hardened. Choked Cyl/Cyl. Barrel
length 20 1/16". Overall length 36 7/16". Weight 6.60 lbs. |

1959 Sharps During the American Civil War, the
Confederate arsenals produced numerous guns inspired by the models used by
the Union Army. Among the various examples there was a carbine borrowed
from the 1859 Sharps model and produced in about two thousand units by
"S.C. Robinson Arms Manufactury" in Richmond, Virginia from the
1862 and the 1863. Different from the more famous Sharps carbine, the
Robinson's carbine has a frame without the automatic tape primer dispenser
device in the right side, the brass barrel band and butt plate and the
fixed notch rear sight fitted in the barrel's dove tail. From March 1863
with the acquisition of the Robinson's company by the Confederate
government, another three thousand units were manufactured in one year,
differentiating from the first units only in the stamped wording on the
barrel and on the frame. Our reproduction is addressed to those who are
fond of the American guns and to the historical re-enactment battles of
the secession war. Barrel length 22 1/16". Weight 8.16 lbs. |

Jager Target The Jäger rifle is well known in Germany
and in the neighboring Countries especially for hunting, it was taken to
the New Continent by immigrants looking for a new life in a new Country.
The Jäger rifle was one the most balanced and compact rifles, very
characteristic for its big caliber; equipped with double set trigger, it
was very precise, able to shoot big balls having a very high energy. The Jäger
rifle was first made in the flintlock version and only afterwards it was
transformed to a percussion rifle. Our reproduction gives the shooter
improved results due to the broached rifling as well as the lock parts
produced on highly advanced computer controlled machines (CNC). The fine
artistic beauty is captured in the patch box with sliding lid, in the
American walnut wood and completed with steel furniture and fittings which
create a strong image for this rifle. It is a fine performing rifle, both
for hunting and for target shooting at 50 and 100 meters. On request of
many shooters, the traditional hunting rifle of the middle European 1700s
period puts on a more sportive look, “dressing of yellow”. This new
version features brass furniture that remind those of the martial use,
like the Creedmoor sight adjustable in windage and elevation and the
typical open tunnel front sight. The barrel has a matt rust brown color,
the lock is coin finish color, the walnut stock is oil finish. The stock
has a fine fish-like checkering of the grip, incised carved scrolls on the
forend, on the patch-box lid and around the cheek piece. |
